Lindsay Hingst of Valparaiso, Indiana was awarded her
doctoral degree at the 2017 Spring Commencement Ceremony at Michigan
Technological University in Houghton, Michigan on Saturday, April 29. While at
Michigan Tech, Dr. Hingst majored in Rhetoric, Theory & Culture. In the
Spring of 2016 the MTU Graduate School bestowed upon Dr. Hingst the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching
Award. Lindsay Hingst is the daughter of Jim Hingst of Valparaiso, Indiana.

Hammond, Indiana and taught at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Hingst, who plays piano,
clarinet and the guitar, has also been a music instructor.
